Essential Oil diffusers are the easiest way to bring in the natural power of plants into your home, office, dorm or even your car. Simply put, a diffuser is used to fill the air in a room with tiny, breathable particles of beneficial essential oils—giving the room a calmer, more pleasant-smelling ambience. Just make sure that you're only using pure, naturally derived essential oils with your diffuser to prevent any health risk. There are many kinds of essential oil diffusers in the market and here is a list that will help you choose yours.
Ultrasonic or Humidifying Diffusers

The most common type of aromatherapy diffuser in the world! These contain a basin that you fill with water and oils of choice. Then, ultrasonic waves diffuse the water and oil into the room in the form of mist, with a wide dispersal range.
They work wonderfully to support dry air, since they act as a humidifier and a diffuser—perfect for winter, or air-conditioned and windowless rooms because they purify the air you breathe while holding essential oils.
The ultrasonic diffusers currently in the market come with night lights and remote controls to control the flow of mist. A great machine to have to bring in the goodness of aromatherapy.

Reed Diffusers
With this type, wooden sticks, or reeds, are placed into a bottle filled with essential oils. The oil travels up the reed from the bottom and the scent is then released into the air when it reaches the top.
Reed diffusers last as long as there is oil in the bottle. This diffuser does not produce a mist and no heat, electricity, or water is used. You must use different reeds when changing scents or bottles.
Reed diffusers are best for smaller spaces because there is no medium like the mist in the ultrasonic diffusers that moves the scent around. Therefore, the scent may be more isolated.
Electric Heat Diffusers

This device heats up via electricity, warms the oil and spreads the aroma around. The size of the device and room will determine how far the aroma reaches. The aroma will last as long as it takes to fully evaporate. If the aroma dissipates, you will need to add more oil to the basin.
Electric diffusers are a relatively inexpensive option for making a space smell nice, but they are not optimal when the therapeutic properties of the essential oil are desired as heat can change the chemical properties of the oil.
Candle Diffusers / Tea-light Burner

A candle diffuser or tea-light burner, as it is commonly called, works in the same fashion as the electric heat diffusers, except it uses a candle as the heat source to heat the oil and diffuse the aroma. These come in a variety of designs and sizes, and are easily available online & offline. Diffusers that use candles as the heat source will work as long as a candle is present and burning, ensure you use an unscented candle so you do not have conflicting aromas. The longevity of the aroma also depends on the amount of oil in the basin.
Just like an electric diffuser, candle diffusers are an inexpensive option for making a space smell nice, but they are not optimal when the therapeutic properties of the essential oil are desired as heat can change the chemical properties of the oil.
